What is Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser Tattoo Removal

Regret doing a tattoo in your youth? We can help you remove or reduce your tattoo.

Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment is a specialized procedure to remove unwanted tattoos using advanced laser technology. Administered by experienced professionals, this treatment employs specific wavelengths to break down tattoo pigments, gradually fading and clearing the tattoo.

How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?

At Fudamental Aesthetic Medical clinic, we use the Q-Switched Laser (Nd:YAG) to perform laser tattoo removal. The laser treatment process involves using high-intensity laser energy to break down the tattoo ink particles within the skin, allowing the body's immune system to naturally eliminate them.

What can you expect after laser tattoo removal?
Post-treatment symptoms may include swelling, redness, scab formation, raising of the tattoo, temporary darkening, some blisters or bleeding. These usually subside in a couple of weeks. This is why downtime between treatments is a key factor for safe and successful results. Post procedure instructions and care will be given after the treatment.

Is laser tattoo painful?
Patients may also have concerns related to pain and this is completely understandable. Our team will do our best to minimize discomfort by applying numbing cream.

Laser Tattoo Removal area of application

Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment can be applied to various areas of the body where tattoos are present, including the arms, legs, back, and more. It's ideal for individuals seeking to remove tattoos for personal or professional reasons.

Frequency of Laser Tattoo Removal?

The frequency of Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment varies based on the tattoo's size, colors, density, age and depth. 5-10 sessions are usually needed, spaced 6-8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal fully between sessions. Large tattoos may require more sessions.

Since black colour absorbs all wavelengths, it is the easiest to eliminate. On the other hand, colours which are unable to absorb most of the wavelengths take longer to remove. Thus, a tattoo which is not black or has several colours will take longer to remove than a black tattoo.
